Conference-CD

Using the search function

Introduction

The Conference-CD Search facility is a fully-featured search engine - the program is a Java applet that runs in most browsers on most computer types.

Conference-CD Search runs in a window on the search page, with comprehensive help is available. Enter search text in the top box and click on "Search". The result hits are shown in the window - you may need to scroll down the list. Click on a link to see the hit. Search words will be highlighted in hits in web pages in most browsers - but not in other file types.

Java Virtual Machine

The search function needs to have a Java VM installed on the user's computer and the browser set to use it. See http://www.phdcc.com/getjvm.htm

Different Browsers

Some browser and Java Virtual Machine combinations stop some of the search special functions from working. See http://www.phdcc.com/fiscd/compat.htm.
